Jason O'Halloran to join Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki alongside Max Cook for 2024 BSB challenge!

In September of 2023, Kawasaki Motors celebrates its 70th anniversary of making motorcycles having first made forays into the motorcycle business in 1953.

Having challenged for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship title over the past few seasons, finishing runner up in 2020, Jason brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Coventry-based Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki team. Using Jason's insights, the team is eager to get off to a flying start when testing gets underway with the aim of further developing the race-winning Ninja ZX-10RR into a genuine Championship contender.

The team's highly regarded rookie, Max Cook, will be continuing with the team for 2024 alongside the experienced Australian. Making his debut in the ultra-competitive superbike class this year, the 20-year-old youngster has already impressed the paddock, particularly at Thruxton, where he missed out on his maiden podium by fractions of a second.

Kawasaki UK would like to take this opportunity to thank Lee Jackson, who is departing the team on good terms. His hard work, results, and support over the past six years has helped develop Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki into the BSB stalwarts that they are today, and we wish him the best for the next chapter in his career.

Jonathan Rea to leave KRT

Six time WorldSBK Champion, Jonathan Rea, will leave the Kawasaki Racing Team at the end of the 2023 season.

Formally contracted for both the current and 2024 seasons, Rea will be released from this agreement by mutual consent at the end of the racing season. During his time riding for the official factory team, 36 year old Rea achieved an unprecedented haul of six WorldSBK titles as well as accruing a slew of other records including all-time WorldSBK records for Championships, Race Wins, Podiums, Fastest Laps and Overall Points Scored.

Jonathan Rea career highlights:
World Champion 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020 - all time record, all for Kawasaki
WorldSBK Career Race Wins: 119 (104 for Kawasaki) - all time record
Career Podiums: 256 (214 for Kawasaki) - all time record
Career Poles: 41 (37 for Kawasaki)
Front Row Starts: 112 (79 For Kawasaki) - all time record
Fastest Laps: 102 (92 for Kawasaki) - all time record
Race Starts: 401 (261 For Kawasaki) - all time record
Total Championship Points: 6053.5 - all time record

Romain Febvre signs for Kawasaki in MXGP for 2024

Kawasaki Motors Ltd. is pleased to confirm that Romain Febvre will remain with the KRT MXGP project next season for the fifth consecutive year.

Since he joined the team four years ago Romain Febvre has consistently delivered success, including a world championship silver medal in 2021, and is currently in outstanding form with six Grand Prix victories and one further podium from the most recent seven rounds of the world's premier off-road series, the FIM MXGP Motocross World Championship. The 31 year old is currently second in the series points standings despite an unfortunate start collision during Qualifying for the Spanish GP in May which prevented him from contesting that round of the series.

Throughout the season the Frenchman and his 2023 KX450-SR have gelled into a formidable partnership thanks to the hard work and collaboration of rider and the staff of Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP in cooperation with engineers and staff in Japan at KMC. With the confirmation of Febvre for the coming season, all parties now have an even stronger base to prepare during the coming winter test period for another assault on the FIM MXGP Motocross World Championship.

Kawasaki UK set for all-new AX Fest this September

Kawasaki UK is excited to confirm that it will be attending the exciting new AX Fest celebration on September 15-17.
