The Challenge 2018

The Challenge is back for 2018! This is your chance to visit new places, meet fellow Club members and gain points for the chance to win prizes at the same time. Below are the locations and details you need to be in with a chance at winning the top prize of an events package for the 2019 season. Start planning your trips now... the challenge is open from the 15th February until the 30th November.

Ireland

1 - Hero - Sky Road

The Sky Road in Clifden is one of the best tourist attractions in the entire Connemara region. The circular route is 11km long and takes you out west from Clifden. Simply put, the scenery along the Sky Road is stunning.

2 - Glencolmcille Museum

The Folk Village Museum is a cluster of several small cottages, perched on a hillside overlooking the sandy curve of Glen Bay Beach in the Gaeltacht of South West Donegal.

3 - Portrush

The main part of the old town, including the railway station as well as most hotels, restaurants and bars, is built on a mile–long peninsula, Ramore Head.

4 - Strangford Ferry

 The ferry links the two disconnected sections of the A2 road, Muff to Portaferry and Strangford to Newry. There has been a ferry service here for four centuries without a break.

5 - Hero - Grampian Motor Museum

Located in the vibrant village of Alford, just 45 minutes from Aberdeen, the Grampian Transport Museum boasts an impressive range of transport exhibits, from travelling chariots of the 1800's, to some of the fastest cars ever made.

6 - Arctic Convoy Exhibition

Loch Ewe was a hive of activity during WW2 and it was the point of departure for many of the convoys bound for Russia. 

7 - The Leadburn Inn

Located on the Peebles Road in Leadburn, new owners have refurbished the main bar to reflect the pub's heritage and to provide a cosy, informal environment for our customers.

8 - Carsluith Castle

Explore the well-preserved ruins of a delightful 16th-century tower house and take a look into the life of Scotland's landed gentry after the Protestant Reformation of 1560.

9 - WW1 Soldier, Seaham

The corten steel statue weighs 1.2 tonnes and is 9 feet 5 inches tall, with a rusty red patina. It depicts a First World War soldier, wearing boots, puttees, greatcoat and tin hat, sitting on an ammunition box, with downcast eyes, holding the barrel of his grounded rifle. 

10 - Holy Island 

The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, is a tidal island off the northeast coast of England, the island is only accessible at low tide via a three mile causeway.

11 - Anderton Boat Lift

The two caisson lift lock near the village of Anderton, Cheshire, provides a 50-foot vertical link between the River Weaver and the Trent and Mersey Canal.

12 - Tacla Taid Museum

See over 100 classic vehicles, set in a replica of a 1940s cobbled street, including cars, motorbikes, tractors, army trucks, armoured personnel carriers and more.

13 - Hero - Lizard Point

Kynance Cove features a tidal beach for the adventurous, famous for its white sand, turquoise sea and rock stacks while the Lizard features white beaches, turquoise seas and unique nature.

14 - Severn Engine House

Home to a reserve collection of full-size steam locomotives, the stunning Engine House Centre at Highley takes you on a fascinating journey behind the scenes. 

15 - Tenby Lifeboat station

Tenby Lifeboat Station is one of over 200 RNLI Lifeboat Stations in the UK. It is situated on the South West Wales Coast and is one of the busiest stations in the UK.

16 - The Tank Museum

This unique collection of over 300 vehicles is regarded as the best in the world and includes the world's first ever tank - Little Willie, the feared Tiger tank and the Challenger 2.

17 - Portsmouth Dockyard

Her Majesty's Naval Base, Portsmouth (HMNB Portsmouth) is one of three operating bases in the United Kingdom for the British Royal Navy, Portsmouth Naval Base is part of the city of Portsmouth.

18 - Bruntingthorpe Museum

Bruntingthorpe has a significant aviation heritage having been initially constructed in 1942 for use by the heavy bombers of World War II. 

19 - 100th Bomb Group

The 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum is located in the original control tower and other remaining buildings of the RAF Thorpe Abbotts airfield east of Diss in Norfolk.

20 - Dover Castle

The most iconic of all English fortresses commanding the gateway to the realm for nine centuries. Climb the Great Tower, meet the characters and see the medieval interiors. 


How it works

Visit the locations, take a selfie and submit it using the new Challenge tool for 2018 (not available until 15th February 2018). We will then add your points to the leaderboard and announce the winners in December 2018. Standard locations are worth 25 points and Hero locations are worth double - 50 points. You can gain extra points by visiting Kawasaki dealers throughout the UK too - submit those using the Challenge tool for an extra 10 points each. And attend Club Kawasaki UK events across the regions to add even more points to your name and work your way up the leaderboard!

Regional Winner

Best Bike

Submit photos of your bike at the Challenge locations to be in with a chance of winning the range of Team Green Care Products. These will help you keep your bike looking the best and running smoothly. This prize will be judged by Kawasaki UK staff members. 

Biggest Group
Club Beanie - RRP - £5.95

Everyone in the biggest group photo taken will receive a Club Kawasaki Beanie. New for 2018, the Kawasaki Beanie is made of soft touch material to keep you warm and looking great. Represent Club Kawasaki when you're off the bike too!
