Kawasaki has confirmed what many die-hard motocross fans never thought they'd hear again: the iconic 2-stroke KX327 is officially returning to the line-up after two decades in the wilderness. For Kawasaki enthusiasts, this marks the revival of one of the most talked-about machines in the brand's off-road history.
Originally produced in upto 2007, the KX250 2 Stroke earned cult status for its explosive power delivery, razor-sharp handling and unmistakable 2-stroke character. Riders who experienced it still talk about the bike in the same breath as other legendary factory specials of the era. Its disappearance left a gap that no modern four-stroke ever quite filled.
Now, Kawasaki is bringing it back—reborn, re-engineered and ready for a new generation of riders.
The 2026 KX327 stays true to the spirit of the original while embracing two decades of engineering progress. Kawasaki engineers have focused on three pillars:
Authentic 2-stroke performance with a newly developed power valve system for broader torque and improved rideability
Lightweight chassis technology derived from the current KX250 platform
Modern electronics including selectable engine maps and optional data-logging for competitive riders
Despite the upgrades, Kawasaki insists the bike's soul remains untouched. The sound, the snap, the smell—everything that made the 327 unforgettable is still there.
Kawasaki says the decision to revive the KX327 was driven by a surge in global demand for high-performance 2-strokes, as well as the passionate lobbying of long-time fans. The company has watched the resurgence of classic-style motocross with interest, and the timing felt right to bring back a machine that helped define an era.
For many riders, the return of the KX327 isn't just a product launch—it's the revival of a legend. A reminder of why they fell in love with motocross in the first place. And for younger riders, it's a chance to experience a piece of Kawasaki heritage brought roaring back to life.
The KX327 is more than a motorcycle. It's a comeback story.

Long established as a benchmark product in the side by side commercial, agricultural and leisure four-wheel sectors, Kawasaki is set to increase the warranty on new MULE utility vehicles purchased from Kawasaki Authorised Dealers from 12 to 24 months from June 11th.
Currently supplied with a one-year term, the doubling of the warranty period is a result of an initiative between Kawasaki Motors Europe and Kawasaki in Japan which the company believes will further augment the already impressive reputation that MULE has for build quality and reliability across a vast array of usage types and applications.
Underpinning the close relationship between Kawasaki Commercial Products dealers and MULE customers, the new two-year warranty period will offer the same comfort as the current arrangement which covers manufacturing defects within the servicing guidelines and limitations published in the Owner's Manual relating to products officially imported into the UK.
