Australian ace David Johnson has continued to build momentum at the 2026 Isle of Man TT, with the Platinum Club Racing Kawasaki rider now firmly inside the top ten in both the Supersport and Superstock categories after strong qualifying performances this week.
“Davo” has looked increasingly comfortable around the Mountain Course as qualifying has progressed, particularly on the Kawasaki machinery where he has steadily improved his lap speeds session by session. Riding the Kawasaki ZX-10RR in the 1000cc classes, Johnson posted the ninth fastest Superstock lap at an impressive 128.383mph, placing him among some elite company ahead of race week.
Johnson also delivered an excellent Supersport performance, recording the ninth quickest lap with a speed of 122.433mph. The result puts him directly in the mix with several established TT front-runners and underlines the versatility he's showing across multiple classes in 2026.
His current qualifying standings are:
| Class | Position | Best Lap Speed |
|---|---|---|
| Supersport | 9th | 122.433mph |
| Superstock | 9th | 128.383mph |
| Superbike | Top 10 contender | 128.275mph best reported qualifying lap so far |
The Australian veteran's consistency has been one of the standout aspects of his TT campaign so far. Having reunited with Platinum Club Racing and Kawasaki for a third successive season, Johnson appears increasingly confident on the big Kawasaki around the demanding 37¾-mile circuit.

Kawasaki UK is excited to confirm that we'll be attending Moto Fest Anglesey 2026, taking place from 24–26 July at the stunning Trac Môn Circuit in Anglesey, North Wales.
Club Kawasaki members are invited to come along and be part of what promises to be one of the standout motorcycle events of the summer.
So, what exactly is Moto Fest?
Moto Fest is a brand-new three-day motorcycle festival created in association with MCN (Motorcycle News), designed to celebrate every style of bike and every type of rider. Set against the incredible backdrop of the Anglesey coastline and Snowdonia mountains, the festival combines riding experiences, live entertainment, camping, demonstrations, test rides and world-class racing action all in one location.
Hosted at the iconic Trac Môn Circuit — widely regarded as one of the UK's most scenic race circuits — Moto Fest will feature:
Visitors will also have access to TrialGP Anglesey, with the world's best trials riders competing at the same venue across the same weekend, including multiple world champions and international factory teams.
Kawasaki UK will be joining the action across the weekend with a dedicated presence at the festival, showcasing our latest machines and spending time with riders from across the UK. Whether you ride a Ninja, Z, Versys, Vulcan or a classic Kawasaki, Moto Fest is shaping up to be a fantastic opportunity for the Club Kawasaki community to come together and celebrate all things two wheels.
With riding experiences, great roads, incredible scenery and thousands of fellow bikers expected to attend, Moto Fest Anglesey is set to become a major new date on the UK motorcycle calendar.

Kawasaki UK is proud to announce its return to the Southampton International Boat Show for the second consecutive year, reinforcing the brand's growing presence in the marine and watersports sector.
Following a hugely positive response from visitors in 2025, Kawasaki will once again showcase its latest Jet Ski range alongside a selection of innovative products and lifestyle displays at one of the UK's biggest marine events.
Taking place at Mayflower Park in Southampton, the show attracts boating enthusiasts, watersports fans, and families from across the country, making it the perfect platform for Kawasaki to connect with both existing riders and new audiences alike.
Visitors to the Kawasaki stand can expect to see the latest Jet Ski models up close, learn more about Kawasaki engineering and performance technology, and speak directly with the team about everything from recreational riding to high-performance watercraft ownership.
The return to the event highlights Kawasaki UK's continued commitment to expanding its visibility beyond two wheels and celebrating the wider Kawasaki lifestyle. Club Kawasaki members attending the show will also have the opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts and experience the unique atmosphere of the event firsthand.
More details on Kawasaki UK's stand location, featured models, and event activities will be announced closer to the show date.
We look forward to seeing many of our Club Kawasaki members at Southampton once again for another exciting weekend on the waterfront.
