Kawasaki UK Teams Up With James Whitham Track Training Days

Kawasaki is excited to kick-start 2026 with the announcement that it is partnering with the legendary James Whitham Track Training Days, supplying the school with both Ninja ZX-10Rs, and Ninja ZX-6Rs, which will be used by the coaches throughout the year.

Created with the ethos of low-number groups to maximise both track time and tuition, the James Whitham Track Training Days allow riders of all levels to improve their skills and enjoy the thrill of track riding in a safe and controlled environment. Each day will see small groups based on rider experience teamed up with a well-known racer, who provides expert tuition and feedback. This year will see a star-studded lineup of BSB and TT racers, including the AJN Steelstock bimota duo of Max Cook and Joe Talbot.

Kawasaki is proud to be partnering with Whitham for 2026, supplying a host of track-proven machinery for the coaches to use. This year will see the school host over 25 dates at some of the UK's leading circuits, including Anglesey, Croft, Cadwell Park and Mallory Park.

James Whitham:
“I'm really excited to be teaming up with Kawasaki for 2026! Although I've only ever raced a Kawasaki once in my career, I've been friends with the team at Kawasaki UK for over 25 years, and the Ninja family's pedigree on track is renowned. The bikes are going to be the perfect addition for our instructors, ensuring our customers are able to get the very best track tuition possible.”

Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki Motors UK:
“So many of our customers are keen trackday enthusiasts, so to be able to work with James and the team and offer a safe and enjoyable environment in which Kawasaki riders can hone their skills is fantastic. Throw into the mix that they can ride on track with, and learn from our official Superbike team riders is the icing on the cake. We are confident many new and existing Kawasaki riders will be chomping at the bit to sign up to a James Whitham Track Training Days School during 2026!”

2026 Limited Edition Calendar

Perhaps best known as the man that penned the awesome Ninja H2R, you can now experience the artistry of legendary Kawasaki motorcycle designer Keishi Fukumoto with our exclusive, limited-edition calendar.

Having chosen a path in design and illustration, plans of a young Fukumoto san came to an enforced hiatus before graduation, when a serious accident left his dominant arm impaired. Undeterred he spent a year retraining himself to draw with his left hand and continued on to study graphic design.

Beginning his career in 1990 at K-TEC Corporation of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group and eventually served as Head of Kawasaki's Design Department from 2010 to 2020. He helped bring many motorcycles to market and now works as an illustrator promoting motorcycle culture. This special collection showcases his signature illustrations of many iconic Kawasaki favourites, including the Z1, GPZ900 and even the W1 Special. Each image has a perforated edge to allow you to remove the date strip and frame your favourites from the 13 choices. (12 months and front cover)

Available exclusively for Club Kawasaki members for just £14.95….once they're gone, they're gone forever.

5 Minutes With… Craig Chamberlain

When it comes to the world of motocross, the name Craig Chamberlain needs no introduction, with the West Midlands rider having raced at European level for Great Britain and running MX training schools since 2008.

Launching the Kawasaki MX Experience school in 2019, Craig has been a close partner of the brand for a number of years. In 2026, alongside the school, Craig will also become the Team Manager for the official Kawasaki British Motocross team, with Joel Rizzi racing in MX2 and Charlie Cole in MX1.

To kick-start 2026, we caught up with Craig for our next '5 Minutes With' feature…

“I was basically born into bikes,” started Craig. “My dad raced Kawasakis back in the late '70s and early '80s, so they were always around me growing up. I then got on my first bike in 1981 – which I don't really like to admit! From that point on, motocross was just part of who I was.”

Like most racers, it wasn't long before Craig was riding competitively. “I was racing within two years of that first bike, riding a KX60. I stayed loyal to Kawasaki all the way through my youth racing and into my adult career. Later on, as things got more serious, I had to race for different teams to secure the best opportunities, but Kawasaki has always been a huge part of my journey. I also raced for Great Britain, which was an incredible experience.

As his competitive career began to come to an end, Craig then started to turn his attention to the next step, which became testing for DBR Magazine, before a chance meeting with Kawasaki saw things change.

“When I gave up racing, it was a bit of a natural step to stay on bikes, testing and coaching. A real turning point for me came through a chance meeting with Ross Burridge at Kawasaki UK. At the time, I was a test rider for DBR magazine and went along to test a Kawasaki. That meeting really changed everything, and Ross mentioned there wasn't yet a Kawasaki off-road school and after a few meetings, the Kawasaki MX Experience was born!”

First launched in 2019, the school has gone on to help hundreds of riders, from those who have never ridden bikes to those who want to get their first experience off-road. “It's been an amazing journey,” continued Craig. “We have a fantastic team of instructors, and getting to work with riders of all levels and see them progress is exactly why I started the school.”

“That said, over the last few years, I realised I really missed the racing side of things. So for 2025, I decided to return by running a team again. Then, for 2026, we've stepped things up massively by becoming the official Kawasaki team. With two experienced riders in Joel and Charlie, I'm confident we'll be able to hit the ground running and push for podiums and, ultimately, race wins.”

Of course, the new MX team doesn't mean the end of the training schools. “We can't wait to get the 2026 schools underway alongside our race programme. We want to make motocross as accessible, enjoyable and safe as possible, so if you want to experience off-road riding for the first time, book yourself on!”
