The unique KB998 Rimini Superbike features a bimota chassis and is powered by the proven Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR engine, the same powerplant that Christian Iddon used to take victory on recently at Assen. While the bike is changing for next season, FS-3 Racing is pleased to be welcoming AJN Steelstock back as title sponsors, with the team to be known as AJN Steelstock bimota.
Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki Motors UK:
“The team and riders have done a fantastic job this season with both riders on the podium and the Ninja ZX-10RR proving to be a great all-round package in this class. With Kawasaki UK taking on the distribution of bimota in the UK this year, we are delighted to be able to help with the switch of machinery for FS-3 Racing and help showcase the marrying of the Kawasaki and bimota brands. We look forward to bringing a new brand to the grid and focusing on maximising the combination of the bimota chassis and Kawasaki engine on UK tracks in 2026.”
Nigel Snook, Team Owner, AJN Steelstock bimota:
''After six years as Kawasaki's official representative in BSB, we are flattered to be trusted with such an important opportunity to race the new bimota KB998 Rimini and contribute to its development. The project has started out on a very positive footing, and we have already been able to spend time in Barcelona receiving technical input from the BbKRT World SBK team. We are particularly pleased that the bimota chassis is powered by the ZX-10RR engine which we know so well. Our performances on the track this year have clearly demonstrated that the engine continues to be competitive in BSB, most recently demonstrated by Christian Iddon's race win at Assen.
We are also delighted that Alan Boyden and the team at AJN Steelstock are with us again as title sponsor. Their support and encouragement is an important piece of the jigsaw puzzle that makes up operating successfully at the highest levels of superbike racing. So, watch out for the AJN Steelstock bimota on track in the 2026 BSB championship!''
Alan Boyden, Managing Director, AJN Steelstock:
“We're delighted to have extended our title sponsorship with FS-3 Racing and are looking forward to playing a part in bringing the bimota brand to the British Superbike grid for 2026. “FS-3 Racing and Kawasaki have put together a strong package this year with a race win, a couple of podiums and a haul of championship points for both riders and the team and whilst we're aiming for a strong finish to this year's campaign, we're really looking forward to seeing what they can do with the new machinery for next season.”
The rider line up for 2026 will be announced at a later date.

This year marks 10 years since Kirsty first became involved with FS-3 Racing, a journey that began almost by accident. By day she works for a company that makes interiors for coffins, run by team boss Darren Fry (the 'F' in FS-3), which, as she jokes, means she “gets far too much Fry time all week.”
Kirsty had never been interested in bikes before, but when Darren asked if she might help with a bit of social media at the very start of the team, things quickly snowballed. “It escalated into doing everything you now see for FS-3 Racing. The clothing, the branding of the trucks, hospitality, looking after VIP guests, sponsor events throughout the year, and most of what you see trackside.
”She also coordinates logistics, describing her role with a smile: “Behind every good pair of gentlemen is one lady looking after them both, and in this case that's me.
”The part of the job she enjoys most is the teamwork. “I love that we're all together making it happen. When you see the results, it makes all the effort worthwhile.
”When it comes to favourite circuits, Kirsty names Oulton Park as one she particularly enjoys, but says she also loves the annual Motorcycle Live NEC bike show at the end of the year. “It's a nice time for everyone to get back together, spend time with the team from Kawasaki UK and get ready for the new year.
”Her standout BSB memories include Rory Skinner's 'home' podiums at Knockhill, Scotland. “That whole year with Rory was really special. Danny Buchan getting our first Superbike win too, but I was gutted I missed that round because I was in hospital with my son so I ended up watching it on my phone.
”Asked what she would change, Kirsty admits an extra pair of hands would be useful: “A second me would be handy to get everything done in time but this year in particular, we've got such a great team both in the garage and back at the workshop, I genuinely don't think I'd change anything.
”As for riding herself, she says she would love to give it a go: “What I'd really like is for a few of the FS-3 ladies to take our tests and do it properly. I did have a pillion ride in my first year - never again! But I'm glad I did it, because now when I put people on pillions, I know what they're experiencing so I'm glad I did it.”
