Most obvious news for 2025 is an increase in capacity for the ever popular litre class Ninja SX raising the capacity from 1043cc to 1099cc. But there is much more to the Ninja 1100SX than that with a host of updates and refinements to maintain its place at the forefront of the supersport touring pack.
Offering increased torque across the rev range, the need to change gear lessens – even more so when ratio changes mean new longer 5th and 6th gears. Like its SX forebears, the latest iteration perfectly blends its touring and sporting abilities and this is manifested in the quick-shifter that now operates as low as 1500rpm allowing seamless changes at lower engine revolutions than before.
Rider and passenger convenience is an SX watchword so it is no surprise to see a handlebar mounted USB-C port as standard along with electronic cruise control, power modes, cornering management, K-TRC traction control and intelligent anti-lock brakes. Add an upscaled rear disc for even better stopping power and the good news is that in the face of more capacity and torque, the 2025 Ninja 1100SX offers even greater fuel efficiency. Even the tyres have been taken to a new level with the adoption of the latest Bridgestone Battlax S23 as a standard fitment.
The breaking news is that the Ninja 1100SX now comes with a sibling in the guise of an SE variant for the very first time. Boasting Brembo M4.32 front brake calipers, master cylinder and disc rotors plus steel mesh brake hoses, the SE also enjoys an Öhlins S46 rear shock absorber with remote pre-load adjustment. As a final touch, the SE model comes with heated grips as standard.
What both machines share is the ability to be connected to an updated version of Kawasaki's unique Rideology app that allows riders to adjust aspects of their motorcycle, gather machine information via their Smartphone and also see ridden routes on their phone screen plus – for 2025 – Rideology is now voice command application ready anticipating the next generation of motorcycle and rider interactivity.
Sports or touring duties, the new Ninja 1100SX is ready to deliver from its height adjustable screen to a range of colour-coded luggage options plus a number of Edition models that can be ordered direct from any franchised Kawasaki road bike dealer. Along with an expanding range of accessories, the Ninja 1100SX marks a significant stage in the evolution of the Kawasaki sport touring concept.
The Ninja 1100SX will be arriving in dealers from December with colours and pricing below.
Ninja 1100SX SE - £13,999
The engine in the new Ninja 500 and Z500 is up the task, no matter what it may be. Ample power from the 451 cm3 power unit is available through the entire rpm range to make it easy for riders to use, no matter what kind of riding they are doing, from low-end urge for accelerating off the line in the city to top-end revs for riding on the highway.
Kawasaki's Assist & Slipper Clutch on both machines results in a light clutch pull for even more rider-friendly and manageable riding in everyday situations plus predictable handling is delivered thanks to a chassis conceived with light weight, manoeuvrability, and mass centralisation in mind provides excellent feel and inspiring confidence for a wide range of riders.
The Ninja 500 and Z500 feature a trellis frame similar in design to that of the Ninja H2. Kawasaki's advanced dynamic rigidity analysis was used to ensure optimum rigidity with light weight. The engine is rigid-mounted and used as a stressed member. And while seat height is 785 mm, the slim design of both the seat and the rear of the engine gives riders an unobstructed line for their feet to reach the ground.
No matter from what angle the Z500 is seen, its triple headlight-centred front face and aggressive lines make it clear that this is a member of the Z family, with aggressive Supernaked looks and ample street presence. The Ninja alternative offers a distinctive front face and sleek, flowing lines make it clear that this is a member of the Ninja family, with race-inspired, big-bike looks. The shape of the full-fairing bodywork fosters a sense of unity with the rider, helping them feel at one with the bike.
Both machines boast a full LCD instrument panel on the standard models and the TFT display on the SE models offer smartphone connectivity, enabling riders to connect with their machines to enjoy display notifications, riding logs, and community features. SE models also feature original colour and graphics along with other exclusive features and accessories.
And for 2025 a new colour option is offered for the Ninja 500 mirroring the accents seen on the KRT Ninja ZX-10RR in many superbike races with the lime green base colour augmented by black, and white graphics with yellow striped highlights. Whatever the colour and whether Ninja 500 or Z500 in standard or SE spec, the choice in 2025 is going to be the right one!

On the last weekend of September, a Kawasaki rider secured the 2024 EMX250 class – the European motocross championship. Bud Racing Kawasaki has specialised in EMX and other off road disciples for many years and rider, Mathis Valin, took the crown with a spectacular win/win weekend. Of course, Mathis will soon be even more familiar as he takes his seat in 2025 for KRT in the world MX2 class.
Dominating the first race on Saturday, Valin pulled off an impressive victory to clinch the EMX250 Championship showcasing his dominance and mastery of the track. His follow up of winning race two simply underlined his EMX dominance – a sign of things to come from the young French rider. The story of success was augmented by actions in the WorldSBK paddock over the same period where Kawasaki clinched the WorldSSP 300 Championship in the Manufacturer category… with one round remaining.
Inigo Iglesias Bravo (Füsport - RT Motorsports by SKM Kawasaki) and Mirko Gennai (MTM Kawasaki) each won a race at the penultimate round of the 2024 WorldSSP 300 Championship and in doing so they ensured Kawasaki's name would once more be engraved on the Manufacturers cup.
Both EMX and WorldSSP 300 are so-called “feeder” classes for MX2 and also WorldSSP (where Kawasaki will race the ZX-6R 636cc model in 2025). Gaining experience in terms of race craft and machine control is one of the prime benefits of a rider gradually working their way methodically through classes and something Kawasaki actively supports.
Steve Guttridge, Race Planning Manager, Kawasaki Motors Europe, said: “Kawasaki is understandably proud to have added to our existing Championship success in WorldSSP300 by achieving the manufacturer title honour once more in 2024. This is now our sixth success as a brand from eight attempts, but the real credit has to go our teams and their riders delivering such consistently strong results on the Ninja 400.
With no less than four riders sharing the top step of the podium so far in 2024, this Championship provides real excitement and – being part of the WorldSBK paddock – creates a great ladder of opportunity for aspiring riders. Add the fact that Kawasaki Bud Racing and Mathis Valin took a European title and this add up to a very fruitful weekend for Kawasaki riders and fans”.
